THE BIBLICAL ASTRONOMER SOFTWARE

The software is only available for WINDOWS and DOS environments and consists of three programs:

  1. A program that corrects published carbon-14 dates for the decay of the earth's magnetic field. It correlates nicely with historical dates for sites such as Karnak in Egypt.
  2. A program that computes the day on which Easter will fall for any given year.
  3. A program that gives the day of the week, the first day of winter and summer, and the age of the moon (number of days since new moon) for any given date in the Julian-Gregorian, that is, the common calendar.
The programs are public domain and are not to be sold or distributed for profit. There are no popup advertisements, and we don't even ask you to register the software. Of course, we compiled it so we know it is free of viruses, but if you want to double check, which is a good idea, use whatever method you generally use. The size of the file is 169,885 bytes. If these programs are useful to you, please help feed the author and his family by dropping a $10 bill in the author's tin cup.

But first, follow this procedure to install the three programs:

  1. The easiest way to install the programs is to click here and allow your browser to run the program. If this is your choice, go to step 3.
  2. Download the installation program. (You can right-click on the link and select "Save link as" or "Save target as" if your browser will not download the file.) The program you are downloading is a standard Windows setup file, so you can download it the the desktop and later delete it with no problem. Run the program.
